Vegetable tanned leather is tanned using tannins and is more environmentally friendly than chrome tanned leather. Our leather comes from a tannery in the USA that complies and surpasses all environmental regulations set by local, state and federal governments (ie. water treatment, waste treatment, pollution, etc.).
